As I reflect on 2024, I can genuinely say—it’s been my best year yet as a professional photographer. From capturing timeless wedding memories to creating striking portraits and working with exciting brands, this year has been packed with creativity, growth, and some truly unforgettable projects.
A Year Full of Variety: Why I Love Being a Versatile Photographer
While many photographers choose to specialize in one niche, I thrive on variety. I’ve always believed that being able to turn my hand to multiple photography styles keeps my creativity sharp and my work exciting. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, crafting the perfect headshot, or working with a local business, each session brings something new.
Portrait Photography Highlights of 2024

Portrait photography has always been one of my greatest passions—and 2024 was no exception. I had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of clients:
- Mums-to-be capturing the glow of pregnancy
- Families wanting to preserve precious moments with their little ones
- Professionals in need of standout headshots for LinkedIn, websites, and online profiles
- Performers like actors, singers, and voice-over artists needing high-end portraits for casting and promotional work
As the world becomes increasingly digital, having a professional portrait has never been more important. That’s why I invested in upgrading my studio and lighting equipment this year, and refined my editing and retouching techniques. The result? The best portrait work of my career—so far!
Weddings to Remember: A Magical 2024 Season

Wedding photography continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Every wedding is a unique story, and in 2024 I was lucky enough to capture some truly beautiful celebrations.
I revisited some of my favorite venues, including Wadhurst Castle, Battle Abbey, Swallows Oast, and Bannatynes in Hastings. But I also had the thrill of working at new-to-me locations like Alfriston Gardens and Trading Boundaries—each offering stunning backdrops and new creative opportunities.
One standout moment? A gorgeous garden wedding in Ticehurst, held at the bride’s family home. With sprawling gardens backing onto the Sussex countryside and perfect weather, it was a dream setting and one of the most picturesque weddings I’ve ever photographed.
Commercial & Brand Photography: Collaborating with Businesses

2024 also marked a major increase in my commercial photography work. I partnered with several businesses to provide professional headshots, capturing whole teams in a way that feels cohesive and polished.
One especially fun project was photographing imagery for a craft book on re-caning wicker chairs, written by Rachael South, known for her work on BBC’s The Repair Shop. Collaborating with fellow creatives is always a joy!
Another highlight was my continued work with Dobell, a stylish menswear company based in Eastbourne. From detailed product photography for their e-commerce site to styled shoots for their seasonal campaigns, it’s been a fantastic collaboration. I love their products—and their team is a dream to work with.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As busy and brilliant as 2024 was, 2025 is shaping up to be even more exciting. With more weddings, portrait sessions, and commercial projects on the horizon, I can’t wait to see what the new year brings.
Whether you’re planning your wedding, updating your professional headshot, or looking for brand photography that truly captures your business’s identity—I’d love to hear from you.
Here’s to another year of capturing life, love, and everything in between. 📸
